Colleen Scollans leads Clarke & Esposito’s Marketing, Digital, & Customer Experience Practice. She is a seasoned marketing, digital strategy, and customer experience leader.
A recognized expert in modern marketing, marketing technology, and digital transformation, she is considered one of the leading MarTech experts in the industry. Her approach combines strategic thinking with practical implementation expertise, particularly in complex business environments requiring new ways of operating. Colleen is a pioneer of the use of AI in marketing and is the creator of the Capsule Message Collection—a modern approach to messaging designed to work with both human and AI-powered marketing workflows.
Prior to consulting, Colleen was the Chief Marketing Officer for Oxford University Press’s (OUP) Academic Division. As global CMO, Colleen led over 250 marketing, digital strategy, and data/analytics professionals worldwide. As the Lead Digital Strategist, Colleen spearheaded OUP’s digital and marketing transformation, developed a data/analytics culture, and was a consultative partner to OUP’s society clients. Prior to be being appointed CMO, Colleen led North American Sales & Marketing. Before joining OUP, Colleen held marketing and leadership roles at Wiley, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and First Union Bancorp.
Colleen is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Business/Marketing, where she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She resides in Montclair, New Jersey, with her husband and stepdaughter. Colleen is a citizen of both the United States and Ireland and spent extensive time working in the UK during her tenure at OUP. She is a StartEd EdTech Accelerator mentor, a founding member of Chief, a women’s executive network.
