Marina Segel

Consultant

Marina Segel brings nearly 30 years of experience in operations and organizational transformation across scholarly and educational publishing.

She has held senior leadership roles at Wolters Kluwer Health across the Health, Learning, Research, and Practice businesses, working closely with both internal teams and society partners. She led large cross-functional international teams responsible for day-to-day operational performance across Editorial, Production, Content Operations, Customer Support, and Product Enablement. Throughout her tenure at WK, she was frequently entrusted with the leadership and delivery of complex, high-stakes initiatives, including cost management and operational improvement efforts.

At C&E, Marina helps clients streamline and standardize their content operations workflows and internal operating models, including how to take advantage of new technology and AI advances. She has deep knowledge of vendor capabilities across editorial and content production workflows and is a trusted advisor on organizations’ outsourcing strategies. Beyond content operations, Marina advises societies on back-office efficiency, process standardization, transition support, and broader operational challenges.

She holds an MA and a BA in Literature and is based in Maryland.
