Mary E. Maloney

Branding & Positioning

Organization: Revealing Genius

The art and science of rebranding is Mary E. Maloney’s life’s work. She is a brand strategist and organizational change management thought leader.

Serving as a CEO and Chief Marketing Officer in the U.S. and the U.K., Mary has led repositioning, messaging, and branding initiatives on both the client and agency sides for hundreds of brands – including global and iconic brands such as AHIMA (The American Health Information Management Association), Mercy Health System, Penn Medicine, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Intuit, Centene, and The Center for Creative Leadership. As a speaker and facilitator, Mary has worked with organizations of different sizes and across diverse sectors including universities, associations, mission-centric organizations, publishers, and healthcare institutions.

Mary also works with executives to distinguish their personal brands using a proprietary, trademarked process to effectively communicate their expertise and their “why.” Through this process, executive leaders rapidly gain traction as influencers in their respective domains. Mary has worked with medical leaders, association and nonprofit executives, and leading surgeons and clinicians.

A recipient of the ATHENA award for outstanding woman in business (ATHENA recipients include former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, NASA astronaut Cristina Koch, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital spokesperson Marlo Thomas), she serves as an adjunct professor, virtual trainer, facilitator, and keynote speaker on the subjects of brand strategy, the power of perception, and leadership. Her education includes Duquesne University, Villanova University, and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She splits her time between Philadelphia, PA and Tampa, FL.
