American Ceramic Society Renews Publishing Partnership with Wiley Following Competitive Review

The American Ceramic Society has renewed its publishing partnership with Wiley following a competitive RFP process managed by C&E for the society’s journals portfolio.
C&E supported ACerS throughout the publisher evaluation and negotiation process, helping the society assess financial models, portfolio strategy, journal development plans, and long-term publishing priorities across a rapidly changing scholarly communication landscape.
The renewed agreement delivers improved financial terms for ACerS while expanding strategic support for journal growth, marketing, special issue development, and global author engagement.
As part of the agreement, ACerS acquired full ownership of International Journal of Applied Glass Science (IJAGS), which will continue as a hybrid journal within the ACerS portfolio.
The new agreement establishes a framework for continued collaboration focused on editorial quality, community engagement, and sustainable portfolio development.
